Japanese Hip-Hop Zelda Commercial

April 20, 2009 by: admin

I’m not a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, but I am a fan of wacky Japanese commercials. And one certainly qualifies as wacky. If Janet Jackson and her posse of backup dancers ever managed to get themselves teleported into Nintendo-land, it might look something like this.

The choreography isn’t too bad, to be honest. So even though this ad is old as bejeesis, it’s still pretty damn cool in my book. Check it out.

I seriously don’t understand why Japanese video game commercials are like these — I mean, why not show some cool game screenshots from the most revolutionary Zelda game that has ever existed? Still, it’s funny ^^

Just a general comment, your Cnet profile states ‘…escaped to Japan…’ Hopefully by now you noticed that Japan is dead and it’s a place you escape FROM, not TO…….

I assume from your tone that you’ve been here for more than a few years. What city are you in?

Japan has been pretty awesome so far for me. I’m sure as time goes by, some things will get aggravating. But I’ve lived in foreign countries before, and so far Japan is pretty damn good in comparison.
