Nihonhacks is pretty awesome, even if you aren’t in Japan.

You’ll find lots of way-neato gems like How to Make Rice Pancakes or How to find a Christmas Tree in Japan. The latter is particularly useful with Christmas fast approaching. Incidentally, I stumbled across some Christmas trees for sale at the Shin-Yokohama IKEA yesterday.

Or rather, they were selling the tops of Christmas trees. They were all no more than three feet tall at best, and can hardly be classified as trees — even by the drunkest of botanists. Price was less than 2000 Yen, and it might be of use to someone. To get there, go to Shin-Yokohama station, and just outside near the bus terminal there are free IKEA buses that will take you there.

In any case, Merry Christmas to everybody here in Japan, and everywhere else as well!

Enjoy the holidays, and stay safe.
